SGS Recommends Metalplan for ISO50001
On February 24, SGS has recommended Metalplan for ISO 50001 – Energy Management Systems. According to Edgard Dutra, company’s director, Metalplan is the first organization in the segment of compressed air in the world to be certified, and also the first to receive the recommendation by SGS.
Dutra estimates that with the actions implemented due to the new standard, there is a reduction in energy consumption of almost 40% in this first year. This represents up to 10% of direct reduction in cost of equipments manufactured by the company.
To achieve recommendation for ISO50001, Metalplan has presented a detailed action plan, informing measures taken to achieve reduction goals in energy consumption, such as change of equipments, preventive maintenance and collaborators awareness.
